We adapt this itinerary to your flight arrival time.
Day 1: Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorge
Your private tour begins with a drive over the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas, with short photo stops. We visit the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous film location. The route continues through the Roses Valley, known for its rose festival, to the Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorge → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga
Drive toward Merzouga, home to the highest dunes in Morocco. On the way we visit the Todra Gorge, then continue through Erfoud and Rissani. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga
After breakfast, explore the area. Visit Khamlia, a village of the Gnawa community, to learn about their music and way of life. Nearby is Merzouga’s lake, which attracts flamingos when it holds water, and a Berber craft shop with local handicrafts. In the afternoon, ride a camel with an experienced guide for 2 to 3 hours through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night under the stars or in a traditional Berber tent, with dinner served at the camp.
Day 4: Merzouga → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate
After an early breakfast in the dunes, ride back to Merzouga village and freshen up at the hotel. We then drive to the Draa Valley, passing Agdz on the way to Ouarzazate, where we explore a local kasbah and the film studios. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate → Aït Benhaddou → Marrakech
Drive back over the Tizi n’Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where the tour ends.
