Your journey begins with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece standing proudly on the edge of the Atlantic. From here, travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where history and modernity meet. Visit landmarks such as the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the fortified Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the ocean.

In the afternoon, continue north into the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, famous for its enchanting blue-washed alleys. Arrive by evening and enjoy free time to stroll the medina, taste local cuisine, and immerse yourself in the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Day 2: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Fes

Spend the morning at leisure in Chefchaouen, exploring its maze of azure streets, artisan shops, and charming squares. Later, depart for Volubilis, the impressive Roman ruins where mosaics and columns tell the story of a once-thriving city.

Continue the journey toward Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial capitals. By evening, settle in and prepare for a full day of exploration ahead.

Day 3: Guided Sightseeing Tour of Fes

Dedicate this day to discovering the wonders of Fes with a knowledgeable local guide. Begin with the ornate gates of the Royal Palace before entering the UNESCO-listed old medina through the famous Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate).

Inside, wander through bustling souks and visit architectural gems such as Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the ancient tanneries. You’ll also see the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the world’s oldest operating university. Beyond the medina, explore the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and enjoy panoramic views from an old fortress overlooking the city.

Day 4: Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Today the landscapes begin to shift dramatically as you leave Fes behind. Travel through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and cool climate, then continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, home to the playful Barbary macaques.

Stop in Midelt for lunch before driving through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Here, trade your vehicle for a camel and trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the sun set over the desert before spending the night in a traditional-style camp with music, food, and stargazing by the fire.

Day 5: Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

Wake early to admire the sunrise illuminating the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Depart for Rissani, a historic trading post where caravans once gathered, and stroll through its lively market. Continue to Erfoud, known for fossil workshops that turn ancient stones into art and crafts.

Next, journey through palm groves to reach the dramatic Todra Gorges, where sheer cliffs rise high above a narrow canyon carved by the river. After exploring, drive into the scenic Dades Valley, where unusual rock formations and kasbahs dot the landscape. Overnight in the valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech

After breakfast, travel through the Rose Valley, a fragrant region best known for its annual festival celebrating roses and their byproducts. Continue through palm oases and kasbah-dotted landscapes until you arrive in Ouarzazate, sometimes called the “Hollywood of Africa” for its famous film studios.

Not far away lies the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Its earthen buildings have appeared in films and series from Gladiator to Game of Thrones.

From there, ascend the winding Tizi-n-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views of valleys and Berber villages along the way. By evening, arrive in Marrakech, Morocco’s “red city.”

Day 7: Marrakech → Casablanca (Departure)

Spend the morning exploring Marrakech’s highlights, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the famous Majorelle Gardens. Stroll through the bustling medina and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna Square, where entertainers, food stalls, and local traditions bring the city to life.
