Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga – Camel Trek – Desert Camp

Your journey begins upon arrival at Errachidia Airport, where your driver-guide will welcome you before departing toward the Ziz Valley.

This region offers one of Morocco’s most striking natural contrasts, where vast palm groves stretch along a fertile riverbed, framed by rugged mountains and scattered kasbahs. Several panoramic stops will allow you to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of this oasis landscape.

The journey continues toward Merzouga, located on the edge of the Sahara Desert and the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Upon arrival, you will embark on a camel trek across the dunes at sunset. As the light softens, the desert transforms into shades of gold and red, creating a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere.

At the desert camp, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea before settling into your private tent equipped with modern comforts. The evening includes a refined Moroccan dinner followed by traditional Berber music around the campfire. Overnight stay in a luxury desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Exploration – Khamlia – Nomadic Families – Hotel Stay

Begin your day early with the opportunity to witness sunrise over the dunes, a serene and captivating moment as the desert awakens.

After breakfast, return to Merzouga village and begin a 4×4 exploration of the surrounding desert region.

Your first stop will be Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa community. Here, you will experience traditional music performances characterized by deep rhythms and spiritual melodies rooted in African heritage.

The journey continues to visit nomadic Berber families living in desert encampments. Sharing mint tea with them offers valuable insight into their lifestyle, traditions, and resilience in a harsh environment.

You will also visit fossil-rich areas near Erfoud, where ancient marine fossils reveal the geological history of the region.

In the afternoon, return to your hotel near the dunes. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel toward the spectacular Todra Gorges.

As you approach, towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically, forming a narrow canyon carved by the river over centuries. You will have time to walk through the gorge and appreciate its impressive scale and natural beauty.

The journey continues through Tinghir, known for its palm groves and traditional villages, before heading toward the Dades Valley.

Often referred to as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” this region is famous for its unique rock formations, including the well-known “Monkey Fingers.” The landscape combines rugged mountains with fertile valleys, offering a peaceful and scenic environment.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, continue along the historic route known as the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

You will pass through the Rose Valley and Kalaat M’Gouna, renowned for its rose cultivation and annual festival. A stop at a local cooperative provides insight into the production of rose-based products such as oils and cosmetics.

The journey then continues to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, you may visit the famous film studios where many international productions have been filmed.

The final highlight of the tour is the visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic fortified villages in Morocco. Its earthen architecture and historical importance as a caravan stop make it a remarkable cultural treasure.

After the visit, you will be transferred to your accommodation or Ouarzazate Airport, marking the end of your 4-day desert experience.
